As you have seen, there has been a lot of spam on the forum last weeks. As a moderator, I just spent all day to delete a big part of it.

I am not active on the forum, and I don't come here everyday, so don't hesitate to report me spam threads and/or spam posts: it will come to consideration and I will delete them as soon as I can (this is the way I came here today, thanks to Nexxterra).

Furthermore, I just deleted the most "obvious" spams (ie bags, sneakers and med ads) because it takes more time to me to analyse each post related to web hosting, in order to see if it is self promotion or not. So I'm not done with the spam chase and your reporting about spam abuses is welcome: it would help me a lot.

I deleted a lot of threads and posts today, and I tried to be careful about selecting just those that were spams, but if inadvertently I deleted one of your post/thread that was not spam, please post it again and accept my apologize about it.

I just banned the bigger spammers, and I will look carefully after the other ones in the future. One more time: don't hesitate to report me user abuses, it would make me spare time.

Hi. I'm the admin for another forum and I found that most (around 90%) of my content spam was coming from Beijing. (I made a habit of checking the IP range of each new spammer and sure enough, there's probably some spammer farm out there that just employs them to do this.)

That said, I just repeatedly banned the x.y.z.* "Class C" range of IP addresses each time I encountered a new spammer. After doing this month after month the incidents have dwindled down to almost nothing now.

I've indicated which ranges I've blocked over the last seven months. Feel free to ban them here if you'd like to limit the incidents of content spam.
