webhostingstuff.com is a pretty good review site.
They provide uptime stats, and independant user reviews on each company.
However, the top 10 list is advertising based. So don't pay much regard to that

Most review sites are only Affiliate site, have a look which sites are always racked in the top 3! those are always the companies that pay the biggest affiliate commission. If you want quality, you have to post here or in a different forum, check what kind of replies you get from the different hosting companies, go with the most qualified answer.

No it isnt. Webhostingstuff will only display your hosting company once you've paid them. The more you pay them the better your listing. Thats not a good review site..

It is true that many reviews or forums are influenced by affiliates or the company itself. To find out about a provider, check their homepage (How long have they been in business? How many customers do they have? Do they provide garantees for money back?) and read lots of reviews carefully. Most of the time you will be able to check whether this was written by a real customer (more detailed review) or an affiliate.

I'd suggest short listing a few, and then googling xyz hosting provider review.

That way you'll soon get a feel of what they're like.

Mostly people tend to get their host review from word of mouth but actually its lead them to nowhere and regret later. The best way that you may figure out their review is by searching through the forum and go to their services/support directly to check whether the good or reliability is worthy.

Or you may use the best way by using google search

I think hostjury.com is the best site for reviews. Even webhostingstuff.com is going to give you a list of companies that are "top" composed of their paying advertising.
