Default Features of a Good Web Host?

I am curious as to what everyone takes into consideration when looking for a web host. Are there certain criteria that they must have?

    Summarize, After sales Service.
I don't really believe in 100% uptimes but most host claimed to be.
for me, support must be arrive before the price.

Agree with the above. 24/7 support and server uptime is key. Scalability (easily upgrade and downgrade features and add-ons). Value. You get what you pay for, but competitive pricing is great.

Well for me, pricing is not so much of an issue. Competency of support is a must. Support staff must know what they are doing, and must be able to solve problems on the spot. I don't like live chat support that does nothing but ask you to go open tickets. Uptime and speed of server comes next.

No host is going have your website up 100% of the time, no matter how much they claim to. What’s important is that web server “uptime” is fair.

More serious web publishers need quality service, and if paying a little bit more brings reliability, then most will take it.

    Prompt customer support.

X2. Live chat is nice, but sometimes email/ticket support works more efficiently. Live chat can sometimes get a ton of junk/spam causing legit customers/potential clients from getting their questions answered.

Definitely good uptime, and not only fast but friendly customer service. Both of these are critical, and sadly many companies don't comprehend how vital these are.

Most important things to look for would be scalability. Nobody likes to pay for resources they are not using. Up-time is important, with cloud hosting looming, most services offer 99.99%. Make sure that the server management software is a reputable brand. This is the part of the server that you will be most interactive with, so make sure it is easily manageable.
