Default What is Mirroring VPS?

It turned out that I came across various web hosting provider and Bodhost.com impressed me a lot.
I have found that they offer many web hosting solutions suitable for any web master's needs.

Can you explain me what Mirroring VPS means?

And do you know anything about this host?

never heard of them, but mirroring should mean something like what the cloud systems use, if one hardware machine dies, VPS should quickly move to second. usually downtime is about 5-10 seconds.

Indeed. However I recommend you specify that. Different web hosting companies can use different techniques

Oh, it sounds very interesting for me... I assume that it will be reasonable to deal with Bodhost.com as they offer 100% network uptime and my web sites will be always up. I started thinking to transfer all my files to this hosting provider.

Do they offer any discounts?

Where is its Data Center located?

Not sure about discounts.

I think most hosting companies offer 100% uptime on network and power. But if a server is restarted the website goes down anyway. So we are talking about more upscale service with redundant servers.

You will have many privileges dealing with bodhost.com - I have checked their VPS mirroring or fail-over VPS hosting solutions and can express the point that these guys know how to keep your web sites online. The same VPS would also be created on another node which would act as a slave VPS.

No, there is no load balancing involved. It's a new trend that is now widely used in "cloud" systems. The VPS is stored on a storage server and connected to two Nodes via iSCSI fiber link. If one of the nodes goes down (primary one), the virtualization software like hyper-v or vmware, will move the VPS to the other node. It usually takes 5-10 seconds because the actual VPS machine is on the storage server.
So it's not load balancing, rather new way of fail-over.
